Robert R. Walkowiak

STEWARTSTOWN Robert R. "Bob" Walkowiak, 71, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Doyle) Walkowiak, to whom he was married 33 years. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. A funeral liturgy will begin following the visitation at 2 pm., with Deacon Michael Soloman officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Bob was born June 10, 1943, in Natrona Heights, Alleghany County, a son of the late Joseph and Steffie (Wenskowski) Walkowiak. Bob and his wife owned and operated Deck the Walls, an art and framing store, in Towson and Hunt Valley, Md., for over 25 years, living his lifelong dream. He previously worked for Joseph E. Seagrams & Sons in Dundalk, Md. After his retirement, Bob was a substitute teacher for South Eastern School District. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Matthew S. Walkowiak of Baltimore, Md., Kerry J. Walkowiak of Stewartstown, and his canine child, Toby. He is also survived by a brother, William Walkowiak of Natrona Heights; and a sister, Judy Walkowiak of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
