Ronald Ginter Obituary

Ronald E. Ginter, Sr.

Shrewsbury - Ronald E. Ginter, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his residence.

Ronald was born in York on October 13, 1941, son of the late Lewis Ginter and Dorothy (Landis) Grove. His step father, Robert Grove, also preceded him in death.

He graduated from William Penn Senior High School and went on to serve in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Ronald was a maintenance man for several shopping centers. Following retirement, he loved woodworking, carpentry, and enjoyed fishing. He was a great man and hard worker. Ronald was very kind hearted, anyone he met became a friend for life.

Ronald is survived by five children, Ronald E. Ginter, Jr. of York, Lisa A. Roberts of Shrewsbury, William C. Manning, Jr. and his wife, Beth of Red Lion, Angie Rawling of York, and Gladys "Kitty" Dietz of York; 21 grandchildren; and 40+ great grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Landis and Lonnie Ginter and his wife, Motts; and two sisters, Margaret Ritchie and Ruth Hirschmann.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, with Pastor Kent Vandervort officiating. There will be military detail presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Those attending are asked to meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 12:15 p.m. Following the service there will be a time of remembrance at Ronald's home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County Veterans Honor Guard, P.O. Box 712, Mount Wolf, PA 17347.
