Roy Reisinger Obituary

Roy F. "Freddie" Reisinger, 84, entered into rest on Sunday, August 21, 2005, at his home. He was the husband of Romaine E. (Shoff) Reisinger. The couple would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in September. Freddie was born on September 16, 1920, in East Prospect, and was the son of the late Howard S. and Carrie May (Bayman) Reisinger. He was a WWII Army veteran, receiving a bronze medal. He was a life member of Hellam VFW Post #7045 and a member of Red Lion American Legion Post #543. Freddie retired from HarleyDavidson after 35 years of service. He was an avid hunter and baseball fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Roy F. "Junie" Reisinger, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of East Prospect; one granddaughter, Amy R. (Reisinger) Reinhold and her husband, Greg; one great-granddaughter, Marley A. Reinhold; one sister, Doris Kopp of Dallastown; one brother, Glenn Reisinger of East Prospect; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with the Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at Zion UM Church in East Prospect, with the service following at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in East Prospect (Riverview) Cemetery, with a flag folding ceremony by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 2870 Eastern Blvd., York, PA 17402.
