Dover - Samuel Claude Abreght, born June 18, 1976 to May 16, 2019, age 42 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Mary J. Auman; stepfather; Paul S. Auman, father, Philip E. Abreght; two brothers, Kevin E. Troup and Philip E. Abreght II; four nephews, Gage Troup, Bradyn Troup, Evan Troup, and Ian Abreght; two stepsiblings, Paul Aumann II and Elizabeth F. Auman; three step nieces; three step nephews; grandfather Wilbert R. Wagner; friend and companion, Bunny Reichart, and beloved daughter, McKenzie Paige. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dora A. Wagner; nephew Cody Troup, and grandparents Harry and Rae Abreght.
In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation would be appreciated to cover cost.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Salvation Army, 50 E. King Street, York, PA 17401. A pot luck dinner will follow the service. Please bring a covered vegetable, salad, or desert dish. Let's celebrate Sam's life!

I knew Sam for almost 20 years. So many good times I'll never forget. We only saw each other a few times a year so we always had plenty to talk about. Anyone that knew sam knew he loved to talk, and I had plenty of long late night talks with him, sitting around a campfire or hanging with friends. He was as real as it gets, never held back when he wanted to say something. I always admired that about Sam! I always knew I would see him every year for our annual beach trip and looked forward to it every year. Sam I'll never forget you brother! You will be missed by many!! Love you brother!!

This is just heartbreaking,Sam I can't believe you are gone but one thing for sure you will never be forgotten, you were one great friend and you will be missed something terrible,rest easy pain free my friend ! Prayers being sent to his family. I love you hard head and miss you even more !

Sammy, being your next-door-neighbor was such a blessing. I enjoyed our talks & watching TV together. I also enjoyed cooking for you before you moved.
Although it hurts us to not have you here on Earth, we are putting our selfishness behind bc you're pain-free now. God has taken you to his Kingdom and His only stipulation to be in Heaven was that you had to leave Cancer behind. Cancer is not allowed in His Kingdom.
Someday we will hang out together again. I promise you i will NEVER forget you, or everything you have done.

I ran into Sam last year and he was very proud of his daughter and still had the dynamic attitude toward life that I remember he had as a student. So sorry for the family's loss.

I used to hang out with Sam at Fat's and Banana Max years ago; and also was at his wedding. I am saddened to hear of his passing. May the peace and compassion of Christ be with you in this time of sorrow.
