Shawn B. Johnson, 44, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at his residence in W. Manchester Township. He was the husband of Karen L. Sokol.
Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204 and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Heffner Funeral and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 p.m., at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York.
Born November 17, 1972 in Baltimore, he was a son of Hartavia (Matthews) Johnson-Adams of Baltimore and the late, Bruce Johnson.
He was employed as a Police Officer with the Baltimore City Police Department for the past 20 years.
A member of the Fraternal Order of Police, he also loved music and had an appreciation for art. He attended Church of the Open Door in York, was an avid Ravens Fan, but most of all he cherished his family, especially his children.
Shawn is also survived by one son, Darius K. Johnson of Baltimore; two daughters, Paige O. and Victoria O. Johnson, both of York; a twin sister, Sherry Johnson of Baltimore; paternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Janet Johnson of Baltimore; and many other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Kevin Johnson.

Don't even know where to begin with my thoughts. Only God knows his plans for us and when he is ready to call us home.
You were such a huge blessing in my life. From the first time we talked so many years ago and once in a blue moon when we would talk just to catch up on life.
