York
Susan K. (Thoman) Hoke, 50, died September 12, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of the late Scott M. Hoke.
Susan was born in York on August 8, 1966, and was a daughter of Donald E. and Sandra F. (Bollinger) Thoman of Shippensburg.
She graduated from Bermudian Springs High School, York Springs, and had been employed as an inventory clerk in the Shipping Department at Hanover Foods for the past 10 years.
She was a beloved, caring and terrific mother, grandmother, daughter and sister to her family, who know that she is now in a better place. She also was an amazing friend to many.
Susan is also survived by two daughters, Kim A. Brown and Tiffany L. Hoke, both of York; a son, Robert J. Forry of York; two grandchildren, Carter and Paige; and three brothers, Donald E. Thoman Jr. of Shippensburg, Michael L. Thoman of York Springs, and Keith A. Thoman of Shade Gap.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2016 at Greenmount United Methodist Church, 4242 Greenmount Church Road, Glen Rock, with the Rev. Wayne A. Shamer, officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Tiffany Hoke c/o PeoplesBank, York New Salem Office, 320 North Main Street, York, Pa 17408 or to the Go Fund Me Account on Facebook under Susan's name to help and assist the family.
