Timothy P. Smyser

YORK Timothy P. Smyser, 73, of York Township, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at York Hospital. Born March 22, 1942, in York, a son of the late Lewis E. and Elsie (Morris) Smyser, he was a graduate of Temple University, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He first worked as a Certified Public Accountant, and more recently was the founder and owner of Big Sky Bread. Mr. Smyser is survived by a daughter, Amy B. Christian and her husband, Timothy of Frisco, Texas; two granddaughters, Addison and Savannah; and a sister, Joan S. Freeland of Roanoke, Va. He was also preceded in death by his former spouse, Dona (Horley) O'Donnell. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1502 Fourth Ave., York, with Mr. Smyser's cousin, The Rev. John W. Morris, Rector of Saint John's Episcopal Church in Lancaster, officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
