Treva Chronister Obituary

Treva Mae Chronister EAST BERLIN Treva Mae (Myers) Chronister, 74, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at HealthSouth Rehabilitation of York. She was the wife of Lloyd A. ‘Pete‘ Chronis ter, who died February 22, 1999. Mrs. Chronister was born March 17, 1929, a daughter of the late Ralph and Virgie (Sowers) Myers. She retired from Adams County National Bank; was a 1947 graduate of East Berlin High School; and volunteered for the East Berlin Library. She was a member of St. Paul's Red Run United Church of Christ, East Berlin, where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of Richard J. Gross Post No. 8896 Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW; and past worthy matron of Conewago Chapter No. 532 of Eastern Star. She leaves three sisters, Doris V. Baker of Abbottstown, and Ruth E. Chronister and Arlene E. Leathery, both of East Berlin; and three godchildren, Sherry Lentz of Woodland Hills, Calif., Douglas Myers of Peoria, Ariz., and Karen Hutchinson of Glendale, Ariz. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter E. Myers, Earl W. Myers, J. Mervin Myers and George F. Myers; and a sister, Shirley M. Starner. The service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday from Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with her pastor, the Rev. Bonnie Whitter, officiating. Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
