Troy Stine Obituary

RED LION Troy D. Stine, 31, of Windsor Township, died unexpectedly, Monday October 10, 2011, at his home. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Rev. Forrest S. Bish, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, Yorkanna, officiating. There will be no viewing. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Troy was born on December 19, 1979, in York, a caring and loving son of Diane K. (Stine) Stonesifer and step son of Dennis E. "Stoney" Stonesifer of Red Lion and also was a stepson of Robbie Bowman of East Berlin. He graduated in 1998 from the York County School of Technology where he studied Welding and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as Watercraft Engineer at Ft. Eutis in Virginia. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and was a NASCAR and Sprint car racing fan. He also enjoyed playing softball, this year playing for the Razorback's softball team in the York White Rose Softball League. A devoted and loving father, Troy also leaves his two children, Tyler Stine and Allyson Stine, both of New Park; step sisters, Sandy Howard of York and Dana Stonesifer of Columbia; a maternal grandmother, Marlene J. (Black) Stine of Dallastown and several aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, Pa 17327; to help defray funeral expenses.
