Trudy Wertz Obituary

Trudy L. (Sargen) Wertz

Manchester - Trudy L. (Sargen) Wertz, 65, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of Bruce E. Wertz. The couple had been wed for 37 years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Mt. Rose Cemetery 1502 Mt Rose Ave, York, PA 17403. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road York is in charge of arrangements. Born in York on August 16, 1955, Trudy was the daughter of the late Richard and Lucille (Morris) Sargen. Trudy was an avid and gifted crafter. Whether it was quilting, scrapbooking, or making holiday decorations, Trudy's passion and talent was always apparent. She loved helping people by fixing their hair or doing their taxes. She and her family were season ticket holders and watched many York Revolution baseball games. Trudy enjoyed nothing more than spoiling her grandsons and watching them play sports. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Bruce; son Jared Wertz of Red Lion; daughter Jessica Wertz of Dallastown; four grandsons, Devin, Grant, Jackson and Myles. Trudy was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Cora Morris. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice and Community Care 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552. We always had so much fun and laughter when we were together. I will always remember my beautiful cousin, who could literally pull off being me, and how much we joked and laughed about it! I have always loved you, and I always will. Wishing I could be there today with your family and friends. Sending love to Bruce, Jared, Jessica, and your beautiful grandsons. There will always be a special place in my heart where I will carry your beautiful smile. Missing you already...
