Vickie M. Hartman

YORK Vickie M. Hartman, 56, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. at 3:55 p.m. at York Hospital. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. with the service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. Ruth D. Harvey, will officiate, with burial to follow at Mount Rose Cemetery. Ms. Hartman was born September 29, 1952, in York, and was the daughter of the late John H., Sr. and Doris A. (Albright) Hartman. She worked at Motor Freight for 13 years, was an administrative assistant with Heritage Valley FCU for 22 years, and then a receptionist with Autumn House East for two years. She was a graduate of William Penn H.S. Class of '70 and attended Trinity U.C.C. of York. Ms. Hartman is survived by a sister, Beverly A. Landis and husband, Craig of Red Lion; a brother, John H. Hartman, Jr. and wife, Debra of York; two nieces, Amy Farrell and husband, Bruce, and their daughter, Avonligh of Etters, and Dawn Sansom and her husband, James, and their daughters, Phoebe and Kaylee of Pineville, La.; two nephews, Craig Landis and his son, Jackson of Red Lion, and Aaron Hartman of Hallam; and her beloved dog, "Mac Gyver". She was preceded in death by her companion of 25 years, Curtis E. Schiding, who died on November 27, 2008.
