Vivian E. Ernst

WEST YORK Vivian E. (Smith) Ernst, 83, died at 8:40 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Autumn House West. She was the wife of the late William S. Ernst. Mrs. Ernst requested that her services and burial at St. Paul Wolf's Cemetery be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf. Vivian was born July 4, 1923, in West York. She was the daughter of the late Viola (Ruby) Fuhrman. She graduated from West York High School and worked for the former S. Morgan Smith Co. in York before becoming a homemaker. Mrs. Ernst is survived by one daughter, Judy A. Smyser and husband, Michael of York; one son, Michael W. Ernst and wife, Victoria of Spring Grove; four grandchildren, Courtney Smyser Kimball and husband, Dean of York, Jason Ernst and wife, Jen of Dover, Matthew Ernst and wife, Jaime of York New Salem, and Ashley Ernst of Spring Grove; and five great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Nathan Kimball of York, Rhiannon and Tristan Ernst of Dover, and Caiden Ernst of York New Salem.
