I have many fond memories of Uncle Wilbur. He gave Greg and I a puppy in 1966 we named Chaboe (who lived 18 years) from a litter Wilbur's dog Missy had. Trips to his barn were fun...seeing the horses and all the other critters and I even learned what an electric fence is! I can remember the horse shows and watching with Uncle Wilbur Greg and Fred compete. In the wintertime I remember hearing sleigh bells coming up the road and it would be Uncle Wilbur and Aunt Luella in a horse drawn sleigh...what a wonderful, magical surprise! In the summer mom would take me swimming at their house and visit with Aunt Luella.
Uncle Wilbur sat next to me at my dad's (James) graveside service in 2004 and we had a nice visit. God Bless Uncle Wilbur!
