William Brigham Obituary

William H. Brigham, Jr., 77, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Misericordia Convalescent Home. Mr. Brigham was born June 27, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late William H. Brigham Sr. and Isabell (Patterson) Brigham, and the brother of the late Kathryn Jean Evans and Donna Watt, both of Youngstown, Ohio. Mr. Brigham was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a graduate of Youngstown State University, and the recipient of a Masters Degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Brigham began a long career with the Federal Government in 1956 as an Investigator with the Civil Service, and retired as a Manager with the Social Security Administration in 1980. Mr. Brigham was a life long avid bowler, traveling to National Tournaments in Knoxville, Tenn., and Detroit, Mich. Mr. Brigham is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth E. Brigham (Day); four children, Paula A. Lewis of Port St. Lucie, Fla., William H. Brigham, III of Eldersburg, Md., Maura S. Brigham of Danville, Pa., and Sandra M. Loeffelholz of York; a son-inlaw, Mark D. Loeffelholz of York; six grandchildren, Daphne Stewart, Mark Lewis, William Brigham IV, Abby Brigham, Emily Loeffelholz and Amanda Loeffelholz. The family will receive visitors at John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 902 Mt. Rose Avenue, York, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m., A visitation will also be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at St Patrick Catholic Church, 231 South Beaver Street, York, at 10 am. A cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Misericordia Convalesence Center, 998 South Russell Street, York, PA 17402; and The Alzheimer's National Association, 225 N. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers go out to your family. I always try to keep this passage in mind, found at Acts 24:15 which says: and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
