York - Alexander Patrick Lauer, 33, entered into rest 11/20/18. A gentle giant with a good heart, soul & mind fell victim of York's horrible epidemic. He documented his journeys & spoke openly to help others from NOT 1 MORE loss. ALEX's OPEN BOOK program & Life Legacy will be what he leaves behind to save others & cause truthful awareness for the world.
He was born in York 3/27/85. Son of Donald F. Lauer & Mary C. Lauer of York.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Services 6-7p.m. 11/29/18 at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes 2114 West Market St.
In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by 2 Daughters Ellie R. & Addisyn M. A Brother Garret A. Lauer of York & Sister In-law Agata A. Lauer of Philadelphia.
Instead of flowers the family is accepting monetary Donations to support Alex's daughters life path

I cannot believe this news. It seems like not so long ago, you, Amanda, Levi, and I were walking around Dallastown enjoying the carefree life of middle schoolers. You were always a happy spirit with a beautiful soul. I remember celebrating the New Year together...all of us welcoming 2000. We thought the world was going to end lol. You will be missed my friend, but your family is going to continue your journey to end this horrible epidemic. May you finally rest.

The news of your passing hurts so very much. I remember us as kids joking around and having so much fun. I wish we had reconnected, as we could always pickup right where we left off. Garrett: I never met your brother, but his story touches my heart. Please know that he was a good person and is suffering no more. The drug epidemic is sweeping York and the nation. It does not discriminate. May you and your family find comfort and strength in these trying times. He will never be forgotten. You have found your purpose in life - to touch and inspire others. My dear, lifelong friend, our countless memories will live on forever, as will your contagious smile and laughter. Almost 20 years of friendship that will never end.
