My life was graced by Victor and Jean Kilgore. In my life time I've been fortunate enough to know people that I've admired. Admired for their love of family, their devotion to one another, and humbleness of their character. They left footprints to follow and lead a great deal of young people of Pine Grove Church, Sunnyburn, Pa to understand the importance integrity. They lead by example but never once did we fall in their shadows. There was always a warm smile and soft words to encourage. Now I know, when I lift my head you will hear me sing. ❤

We loved her so much! She was like another grandmother to my grandson Liam. My mother truly loved sitting and speaking with her. She was a great friend and neighbor!

Our society marks fame by how many home runs someone hits, or by a song that's a radio hit, or how many times one's face appears on the cover of a popular magazine, or by Oscars, Emmys or Tonys. Though these things are indeed notable, true greatness in life is perhaps not any thing that requires any touch of celebrity fan fare at all. We young men and women of Pine Grove Church and the community of Sunnyburn, were so fortunate, though we may not have recognized it at the time, to have brushed with such distinct notability in the likeness of Victor and Jean Kilgore. There weren't any TV cameras or reporters. They went about their lives showing us by example in thought, word, and deed how to be good citizens, know right from wrong, and to serve the Lord with gladness and thanksgiving. They were simple honest human beings who raised their three daughters to become the stalwart folks they are in their own right. Great legacies don't need to be found in words in a headline on the front newspaper page. But when their memories remind you of so many good things that touched your life as they walked their paths with grace and good will. ah.... there in is found greatness. Cathy, Bonnie. and Patti, like all of us who are blessed enough to live lengthy years eventually we all become orphans may the peace of the Lord be with you as the wonderful memories of this gracious lady you knew as Mom flood to shelter you in this time of grief.
