Julian Smith Obituary

Julian Alexander Smith
November 14, 1998 - October 15, 2017
York
Julian Alexander Smith, 18, died peacefully, Sunday, October 15, 2017. Born on November 14, 1998 in Boone, NC, he was the son of Jennifer Lea Young and Mark A. Yateman of York and the late Mark Anthony Smith.
Julian was a 2017 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and the York Adams Academy. Julian was a fun loving person. He could bring a smile to anyone, no matter how their day was going. He enjoyed spending times with friends and family, playing video games, and listening to music. Julian, as his mother would say, "Was a force", that left this world too soon. He will be greatly missed by all who got to know his infectious humor and smile.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Julian is survived by his step-brother, Jason Yateman of Glen Rock; his step-sisters, Jennifer Yateman of York and Laura McClain and her husband, Kelly of York; and his maternal grandparents, Don and Virginia Young. Julian is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Julian's life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York, with Pastor Laura Haupt officiating. The family will receive friends in the church narthex immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Julian's memory may be made to Not One More – York Chapter, PO Box 95, Dover, PA 17315.
Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York.

Julian. I was in NC when you went away and I am back in NC now. Your birth state. It is a beautiful , sunny day and I
Can see you and your Grandmother Virginia , my dear friend., up in the sky here riding on the clouds and laughing.
You have met my 18 year old son in heaven , l am sure. You were both handsome and loving young men
Whom were loved by everyone who met you.
I still remember when you first came
From Boone to York . That sweet young boy. I adopted you as a grandson and
Tried to help you and your family.
May you Rest In Peace, Julian.
Know that you will always be loved and remembered.
Be Blessed , always. Love. Ann

Jenny and Mark, I just heard the news yesterday about Julian. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. From how you described Julian the last time we talked Jenny, and how Jodie talked about him yesterday, I know Julian was a dear, special boy. I know you are both going through an extremely difficult time. I do believe he is still near you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Please take care. Cheryl

You were a good kid Julian. I remember when we first met and I used to call you Juls just to annoy you. You made fun of me being Winter's "aunt" and we used to play video games from time to time. You always won. It'll be hard to adjust to knowing your gone. You'll be missed by many. Wish we had spent more time hanging out =(
