Scott Steider Obituary

Scott W. Steider, age 62 of York, died on Friday, May 24, 2024, in York. He was born on October 31, 1961 to Don F. and Joann E (Fisher) (Steider) Melton in Topeka, Kan.
Scott was an avid fisherman. He loved music and going to concerts. Scott was very socially outgoing and loved talking to people. During his working years, he worked at various places including: Champion Home Builders, the Ethanol Plant, BonnaVilla Homes, Sundstrand, ACE Hardware and Walmart.
He is survived by his daughters, Lesley (Kris) Allison of York and their children, Mina Steider and her daughter Esmeray of York, Caprice Nichelson of York, Dravenn Nichelson of York and Nick Allison of Omaha; Lindey Odenore and her children, Blakeley Steider and Kendrick Odenore of Lincoln; Lori (David) Nuss and their children, Layla and Forrest Nuss of Murdock; his sister, Kelly (John) Taylor and niece, Presley of York; his brother, Doug (Lori) Melton and niece and nephews, Brooke, Austin and Isaac Melton of York; his uncle, Jim Steider of Geneva and many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepdad James Melton.
A Celebration of Scott's Life is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Eagles Club, 605 N. Lincoln Ave in York. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. It was Scott's wish to be cremated there will be no viewing. Memorials may be directed to his family. Condolences may be sent to his family at metzmortuary.com. Metz Mortuary in York is handling the arrangements.
