Sherry Annette Kranz, age 57 of York, NE, died on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in Omaha, NE. She was born October 13, 1967 to Roger and Sandra (Klebe) Mills in Seward, NE. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Utica, NE and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in McCool Junction, NE.
Sherry graduated from McCool Junction High School. She had worked at Country Kitchen, York State Bank, Midwest Bank, and finally Time Warner Cable until she retired in 2010, due to health issues.
Before her health deteriorated, she loved bowling, cooking and baking (especially Christmas candies and cookies), decorating for the holidays, and loved to travel (which she still tried to accomplish). She loved spending time with her family, attending her daughter's sports and school events, and loving on her grandkids.
She is survived by her fiancé, Scott Stream of York; daughters, Kelsey (Abe) Fisher of Omaha and Kendra (Creighton) Loreman of York; mother, Sandra Mills of York; grandchildren, Keegan and Olivia of Omaha and Brynlee of York; nephew, Glenn (Melissa) Trent of Ohio; niece, Mandy (Tasha) Wilkie of Ohio; and her Fur babies, Tucker and RC. She is also survived by her aunt, Darla Klebe of Seward; uncle, Mike (Vicki) Sheridan of Lincoln; aunt, Angie Grabau of Seward; aunt, Betty Pohl of York; uncle, Dale Watson of Palmyra; aunt, Beverly (Bob) Stava of Brainard; and uncle, Bob (Theresa) Mills of Seward.
She was preceded in death by stillborn son, Dustin; sister, Teresa Trent; father, Roger; and grandparents, Lloyd and Hilma Klebe and Charles and Opal Mills.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Trudy Hanke officiating. Burial will be held at 1:30 pm that afternoon at Utica Cemetery in Utica. Sherry had requested casual attire for those attending her services. Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm on Wednesday, with her family greeting friends from 6-7:30 pm that evening at the mortuary. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be directed to the York First United Methodist Church,
American Diabetes Association, Nebraska Chapter, or the Stiff Person Syndrome Research Foundation. Condolences may be left for her family at
