Robert Thomas

ROCKINGHAM — Mr. Robert Leonard "Bobby" Thomas, age 96, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026.

Bobby was born in Rockingham on December 28, 1929 to the late Vance Thomas and Mary Grace Webb Thomas, both of Rockingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy "Doris" Ussery Thomas, his sister, Jean Thomas Bynum, his brother-in-law Homer Bynum and his brother, Joe Thomas.

Bobby was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and lived his faith daily.

He was a mechanic for many years and retired as the owner of Richmond TBA in Rockingham.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Jim Thomas (Jennifer), Mike Thomas and Randy Webb (Sandra); daughters-in-law Malinda and Julie, grandchildren, Eddie Thomas (Christy), Robbie Thomas (Sierra), Kristin Thomas (Danny), Catherine Emmer (Matthew), Amanda Thomas Butler (Jeremy), Brian Webb (Jackie), Daniel Webb, Stephen Webb (Molly), eleven great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Baby Girl, who all loved him very much.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 110 Kemberly Street in Rockingham, at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 and other times at Bobby's home at 301 Northam Road, Rockingham. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Northam Cemetery immediately following the service.
