GLENDA LACY Obituary

GLENDA LACY 11/19/1937 - 04/14/2025 Services for Glenda Sue Lacy, 87, previous owner of Lacy Funeral Home, were scheduled at Lacy Funeral Home for Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Werth Mayes officiating and Rev. Ken May assisting. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6 - 8 p.m. Interment followed the funeral service at West End Cemetery. Glenda was born in Borger, Texas, on November 19, 1937, to Travis Wallis and Olene (Adams) Wallis. She married Lyle Eugene Lacy on May 31, 1958, in Borger. He preceded her in death October 1, 2022. Lyle and Glenda moved to Stephenville in 1971 from Amarillo and purchased the Trewitt-Reed Funeral Home where she served the community. Glenda was a vice president of Stephenville Bank, After retiring from the bank, she volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary in Stephenville. She loved working in the gift shop. The Lacys moved back to Amarillo and joined First Baptist Church of Amarillo. She enjoyed helping in the nursery and singing in the choir at First Baptist Church Stephenville for many years. Glenda enjoyed traveling to watch their grandkids in all of their activities. She also enjoyed RV trips all over the country, many times taking the grandkids on their adventures. Glenda enjoyed cooking, working on puzzles, but most importantly spending time with her family. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Zonta Club. Glenda is survived by her daughters, Cami Simmons and husband Greg of Odessa, Texas, Leska Neeb and husband Andy of Amarillo, Texas; grandsons, Ryan Simmons and wife Tori, Collin Simmons and wife Taylor, and Mason Simmons; granddaughters, Lauren Simmons, Abby Neeb, Cora Neeb and Ella Neeb; great-granddaughter, Sutton Simmons; and several nephews. She was preceded in death by Lyle, her beloved husband of 64 years, parents Travis and Olene Wallis, sister Pat Caddell.
