JOHN FINCANNON Obituary

JOHN FINCANNON 11/15/1947 - 08/13/2025 John David Fincannon, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on November 15, 1947, to Dudley Martin and Ara May (Pittman) Fincannon. John proudly served in the Army, where he was stationed in Lliesheim, Germany, as a heavy-duty truck driver. This skill transitioned into a lifelong profession, allowing him to contribute significantly to the community he served until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his son John David Fincannon, his sister Dorothy Jean Gilbreath, and his brother Floyd Fincannon. John is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fincannon; his daughter, Cassandra Fincannon; and his grandchildren: Cesley Sulak and her husband Ian, Emiley Beaty, Avery Fincannon, and Gavin Fincannon. He also cherished his great-grandson, Jaxton Sulak, and his great-granddaughter, Addyson Oakley. In addition to his immediate family, John is remembered by his sisters Christine Hycke, Joyce McCamey, Neva MacCracken, Jeanette Wilcoxon, and Debra Sublett, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy will be celebrated at a memorial service on September 20, 2025, at Beth Haven Cemetery in Dublin, Texas, from 2 to 3 p.m. John David Fincannon will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His kindness, strength, and dedication to family and friends will always be remembered.
