Hunter is survived by his loving wife, Pat Hunter; son Hunter Schmidt; daughter, Donna Hunter; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; extended family; his dog, Troubles; and his cat, Mece.
Friends and family will hold a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 22 at 1 p.m. at Yuma Center for Spiritual Living, 781 S. 2nd Ave. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice Compassus, 1025 W. 24th St, Yuma, AZ 85364 or Potpourri Artists in Yuma at PO Box 25232 Yuma, AZ 85367.

Dear Friend, U and Hunter made such an AWESOME TEAM..U were both lucky enough to scratch off most of his "BUCKET LIST" wishes...I will always remember his excitement as he was catching all the fish that would "jump on his hook" last month, but true to his character, he was a "Catch & Release" man...Truely a man of Nature...He will always be one of the BEST MEN I have had the priviledge to know...My prays R with U & the family..

I am so sorry Don & I will not be able to attend Hunter's celebration today due to work..I would have loved to be there. Hunter is a wonderful soul that we feel privileged to have known & look forward to seeing again in another place & time. Our thoughts are with him & his family...
