Anthony Dean Alvarez, age 57, passed away on November 30, 2024 in Winterhaven, California. Born December 22, 1966 in Winterhaven, California, Ft. Yuma reservation he was the son to the late Sally Jane Baxter Bradford and Frederick Daniel Alvarez Sr.
Anthony graduated from San Pasqual Valley High School in Winterhaven, California after attended AWC earning his C.N. Certification.
His favorite football team was the Arizona Cardinals. He also loved the Tasmanian devil.
Anthony leaves behind two beautiful grandchildren, Justin Rodriquez, Samantha Rodriquez of Somerton, Arizona; also his younger sister, Marion Elizabeth Bradford of Yuma, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by mother, Sally Jane Baxter Bradford; father, Frederick Daniel Alvarez Sr.; brothers, Frederick Daniel Alvarez Jr., Michael Andrew Alvarez Sr.; sister, Avalina Frances Alvarez.
Service will be held at Yuma Mortuary on Friday, December the 6th, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Tribal Rights will follow Services at the Quechan Big House starting at 5:00 pm and ending on Saturday, December the 7th, 2024 at 5:00 am.
Pallbearers are the following: Frederick Daniel Golding, Devin Elijah Golding, Michael Andrew Alvarez Jr., Isaac Michael Alvarez, Jonathan Joseph Alvarez, Chaz Rea, Chandler Rea, Jordan Rea, Justin Ruiz, James Ruiz, Donald Menta and Brandon Durand.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Pat Olague, Roy Durand, Stacy Durand, Sheldon Durand, Gilford Amador, Boyd Hill, Donald Escalante, Doug Osborne, Gordon Osborne, Hamilton Menta, Billy Rea, Preston Arrow-weed and Milton Jefferson.
