Thank you all for your kind words those that have commented all were solid fixtures in his life. He appreciated all of you and spoke highly of each and everyone of you. I can not express enough how nice it is to read such kind words. I miss my father immensely. His cats are with family and are roaming around just like they wanted to. It is touching to know he impacted so many and his memory will go on. Thank you

Colbert was my farrier for many years. He kept my old, crippled rope horse, Baxter Black, going. He was a dear friend. What has become of his cats? I gave him a black and white "Tuxedo" and a cream with dark points. Please do not put them down! If you don't have a home for them, I will take them back.

Colbert was our farrier and friend for 20 years. He worked with my husband, Pete, at the City of Yuma and more importantly kept our two horses sound. Colbert had a special way with handling horses and to us, this says so much about this man. Colbert was a very proud father and grandfather and he never missed an opportunity to update us on his children, Dawn and Dakota, and his grandchildren as well. We will miss you Colbert.

I had the opportunity to work with Colbert on a daily basis for a lengthy time. I found him to be very humorous. I got many laughs from the stories he told of the things that happened to him while he working as a farrier & of his roping experiences. I enjoyed every day that I worked with him. He was a man that I appreciated having as a friend. I will miss him onsiderably.

Colbert had a gentle spirit that could be especially appreciated when he was working with nervous and diffacult horses. He was dedicated at maintaining a higher education with his Farrier work. I will miss our conversations and Saturday breakfastks over chili relleno's. Happy Trails my friend.
