In 1959, KOFA high school opened with only a freshman & sophomore class. I met Dian & her friend, Pam Bingham, that year & we became good friends. We graduated in 1963 & were the 1st all 4 year graduating class. Dian was in several clubs, worked in the library, was a Songleader & was in the Top Ten of the Class of 1963. We both served on the 10 year class reunion committee. Dian was a wonderful person & I'm sorry we lost contact over the years. Sincere condolences to all her family & friends

Dian AND Mike were a vital part of the “Crane Family.” I so enjoyed working with them. I remember Dian always having a can-do attitude and was super efficient in her job. She always showed that she cared about those around her. I’m sending prayers for her loved ones.

Dian would always have sun tea, delicious and strong. She kept your secrets and shared some of hers. She made you feel important.
She won beauty Queen title for the Greyhound Track in Yuma, it was a big title back in the day.
She would decorate a nice big tumble weed at Christmas, much more suitable for Yuma and all ways impressive.
She loved her boys and Mike Smith was the first love of her life.
She fried the best chicken.
She loved dogs.
I loved her. I will miss her, the earth will be a little lonlier with out her.
