Karen DeMaio Obituary

Karen L. DeMaio, 53, died on January 17, 2009 in Yuma after an eight and a half year battle with breast cancer. Karen was born in San Bernardino, California. Karen is survived by her father, James (Julie) DeMaio of Palmdale, California; mother, Connie Adams of Highland, California; her fiance, Michael Coolidge of Yuma; her sisters, Phyllis DeMaio, brother-in-law, (Richard Sisco) of Yuma and Cathy Williams of Highland; her brother, Steven (Laura) DeMaio; her daughter, Summer Lewis of Tustin, California; her in-laws, Elvin and Judy Mitchell of Fullerton, California; her nieces, Tina Bortolazzo of Yuma, Sarah, Amy and Jessica DeMaio; her stepchildren, Ana and Junior Coolidge of Tustin; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ronald Adams; her grandparents, Amy and Frank Durham; her grandfather, James DeMaio Sr., and her nephew, Paul Bortolazzo. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. Donations may be made to the Susan G.
