Matthew Jacob Dorries, 49, passed away on September 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 30, 1976.

Matt dedicated 23 years of his life to 3D Communications, where he worked diligently and proudly served as a supervisor on numerous projects throughout the county, city, and local school districts, as well as MCAS and office buildings. His efforts also extended to many of the RV parks in the Foothills, Wellton area, and Martinez Lake.

A true outdoorsman, Matt was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman who loved camping trips and exploring the natural beauty of Arizona.

Matt graduated from Cibola High School in 1994. He was a devoted husband to his soulmate, Annette Dorries, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage after their wedding on February 22, 2003. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two children, David and Paige.

He was the beloved son, of Thomas (Penny) Dorries and Vicki George, and the cherished brother, of John Dorries, Josh (Sarah) Welch, Brandy (Chris) Hehe, Joe Franklin and Robyn Franklin.

Matt will be deeply missed by his entire family, including his in-laws, David and Donna Davis, and his sister-in-law Danielle.

Matt will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love of family, and his passion for the outdoors. His legacy of dedication, adventure, and love will live on through those who knew him best.
