Michel HADDAD Obituary
Unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Renée (nee Chaker). Loving father of Tony (Kristen Haddad), Marie-Louise and Nadine. Dear brother of Nabil (Najwa Haddad). Predeceased by his parents Tanios and Mariam. He will be dearly missed by many family and friends living in Canada, Lebanon, France, and the United States. Michel "the Accountant" was known for his strong dedication to his work and for his kind, gentle spirit. He was happiest in his backyard garden with his family. Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (east of Vanier Parkway), Ottawa on Wednesday, February 19 from 2 to 5pm and from 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road, Ottawa on Thursday, February 20 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Many thanks to the staff of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. In memoriam, the family would be grateful for donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Renee and family.. I was shocked to learn of Michel's passing.. he was such a wonderful person, our accountant and friend for many years. I was actually thinking of calling him today to drop off the tax papers. Our deepest sympathies to the family. He will be dearly missed, may he rest in peace.

A lasting impression...
I work for Michel back in 1987. He had a small office which you had to get to, through Nesco Insurance. I believe it was on Gladstone. I had just graduated and I was so happy that Michel gave me my first opportunity to work as a bookkeeper, part-time. He was patient and a kind man to work for; and, for that reason I have never forgotten him.
