Sean Snyder Obituary
Sean Warren Snyder, 35, departed this life February 21, 2016. He was born in Kennett, MO, October 15, 1980
The loves of his life were his daughter, Kinley, Firefighting, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is survived by his daughter Kinley A Snyder, Father George A. Snyder and Mother Joan E. Snyder, his Brothers Jared M. Snyder, Dustin A. Baxter, Sister Sara C. Snyder and Aunt Janet L. White. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Warren and Mildred White and Donald and Ruth Snyder.
Sean was raised in the Kansas City, MO area and graduated from Lee's Summit North High School. He attended Western Regional Fire Academy at Blue Ridge Community College in Independence, MO where he earned Firefighter Certification, Levels I and II. He later earned Certifications as a Fire Instructor I, Incident Safety Office and HAZMAT Materials Awareness, Operations and Technician Levels.
Sean was a Firefighter with the Prairie Township Fire Protection District in Lee's Summit from 1998 – 2003. In 2004, he joined Rural Metro Fire Department where he served as Firefighter/EMT/HAZMAT Technician until his death.
In 2006 and 2008, he was selected as Firefighter of the Year for the Rural Metro, Yuma, In 2011, he was awarded PETA Compassionate Fire Department Award.
The Family wishes to thank the Rural Metro Fire Department, United Maricopa County Firefighters Association Local 3878, United Yuma County Firefighters Association Local 911, IAFF Local 1234, YRMC, Amberly's Place, Yuma County Sheriff's Office, The Arizona L.A.S.T. Team and Sean's Brotherhood of Firefighters.
A visitation will be at 10:00 AM till Noon on February 27, 2016, with funeral services at 12:30 PM. Pastor Joe Avila will officiate. Funeral honors by Fire Department Honor Guard and Pipes and Drums. Private Interment will be at a later date in Trent, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arizona L.A.S.T. Team for financial support of fallen Firefighters families. AZ L.A.S.T. Team, 565 N. Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ 85119.

To the Snyder family, I am Dustin's aunt. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Sean. Words seem inadequate but I am praying for your strength and comfort in the days ahead. Thank you for raising such a wonderful man who was obviously respected and admired for all the love and support you provide to Dustin. May God hold you in his arms.
