Virgil Moore Obituary
At an early age Virgil was active in farming in Dome Valley along with his dad. Besides farming, he loved driving the hay trucks to various dairies in the Phoenix area.
In later years he went into sales at Seabury Chevrolet, Karl Moedl and Alexander Ford as the Fleet Manager.
Virgil had a love for fun and adventure. He loved El Golfo (where he was known as El Presidente). Roping, hunting, racing, sand drags and driving fast cars were just a few things he loved to do. In the later part of his life he fell in love with the game of golf. On the course is where he met many of his now lifelong friends. He also loved the mountains, with slow rides on the 300 road looking for wildlife.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents Howard V. Moore and Zelma M. Moore.
He is survived by his wife Sally, Brothers Ronnie (Carol) Moore, Bucky (Jennifer) Moore and Sister Lynda (Jason) Penny.
He is also survived by his beloved children. Rick (Sheila) Moore, Debbie Moore-Garcia, Marty Moore, Darcy Moore, Bria Moore-Sherinian, Bret (Nikki) Moore, Bentley (Ashley) Nakasawa and Ann Nakasawa-Ferguson.
His grandchildren, Michael, Chance, Coby, Candace, Justin, Jordin, Joni, Aiden, Owen, Dylan, Presley, Holden, Bailey, Ben and Avery.
His Great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cameron, Connor, Maddix, Charlie and Cayden.
There will be a celebration of Virgil's life on July 5, 2019 at 10:30 at The Patio at Desert Hills Golf Course for family and friends. When in need, a dear friend said "He was always the first to show up without fail. You don't replace that." Please join us to share your love and stories. A Legend in Yuma, no doubt, a lot of people will have a story to tell. He was larger than life and one of a kind.
We'll see you again Virgil "When we all get to Heaven."

I would like to first thank The family and bless the peace that I hope we all can find in our hearts death is not anything we know about until it comes. I’ve heard so many good stories about this man Virgil I’m proud to be his grandson! I’m Marty Moore son Heidi Gardener is my mother and I am very thankful for life and for the Starceeds that Marty, Virgil And Gloria, Heidi sprouted. I Prey we all have no fears and get to know ourselves most importantly to understand vision and jobs are not the same. Those Moore people are very blessed talented and loved people. I don't have the words and I don't know how to articulate how important Virgil will always be to everyone who knew him. He is a genuine person sun up to sun down. He is loved, respected, and will always be in our hearts.

point in fact, Virgil did indeed give me me the shirt off his back! At a social event we were attending, I got an embarrassing stain on my shirt, and Virgil, being Virgil, gave me the elegant cowboy shirt he was wearing and wore mine to save me the embarressment. it was just small but unique and typical part of the many special ways this kind soul could touch people.

Well there's too many things to say about my buddy Virgil but I hope he's now in a great place and getting to play golf on the best courses.Virgil was one of a kind from the old school. Condolences to the family and friends of Virgil. As a child I always heard bits and pieces of stories of Virgil and my dad Jerry Harvick. Probably best I didn't hear it all. My husband Scott then met Virgil on the golf course and there again always a story. May the many memories you have in your heart comfort all of you in the days to come.

Virgil would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Such a kind and generous friend. He loved to sit and tell about his adventures and his golf game. He had such a kind heart and always had to pay for breakfast. He would get so upset when we would pay for it before he got the ticket. Nothing but fond memories of him. He's playing golf in Heaven. He will be missed.

Virgil was one of the kindest men I know. I could sit and listen to his stories of his younger wild days for hours. He had a love for golf and telling his stories. His heart was as big as Texas and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed. A very kind man and he will be missed. He's playing the perfect game of golf in Heaven.

What can you say about Virgil that has not been said already 100times... I had the pleasure of knowing him while working at Desert Hills. He made me feel welcome when I started there and told me not to take anything from the others or come find him. To listen to him talk about the one that was just this close to the one that landed perfectly on top. He will be greatly missed by many of us but I know he is up there saying wait till ya all get up here to play around. My deepest condolences to the family... he will be so missed. GOD comfort you during this time...
