CROOKSVILLE: Donna Ruth Wood, 77, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 6, 1938 in Crooksville (Lewis Hollow), the daughter of the late Donald E. and Lorena Dailey Brown.

Donna retired from Glasfloss Industries in Crooksville and she was a former member of the Crooksville Fire Department and former captain of the Crooksville Emergency Squad. She was the first female captain of Crooksville's Squad. She was Free Methodist by faith.

Donna is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles R. Wood; her daughter, Tammy Reavley of Crooksville; her sons, Scott Wood (Rose Maxwell), Gary Wood and Kenny (Kimi) Wood, all of Crooksville; her sister, Kay (Butch) Ansel of Crooksville; her brothers, Gerald (Bev) Brown, Wayne Brown, all of Crooksville and Terry (Bev) Brown of O'Fallon, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Douglas Wood and Donald Ray Wood; her brothers, Larry 'Nuggett', Donald, Ronald, Stace and Billy Brown; her sisters-in-law, Rebecca and Mary Jane Brown and her son-in-law, Harold McHenry.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, February 7 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Donna's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2016 with Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
