Doyle Harple Obituary
Zanesville - Doyle Wilbur Harple, 78, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Genesis Hospital. He was born October 10, 1942 in Waynesburg to the late Roy Wilbur and Violet J. Simmers Harple. He had a Master's degree in Education Administration and retired from the Muskingum Valley Education Center as an administrator. He was employed in education for 34 years. He attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, the Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Board at the Muskingum County Arc Housing Inc.
Surviving is his wife Marilyn Sue German Harple; a son Craig Doyle Harple; a step son Clay (Stacy) Ross; a daughter Melinda Harple; a step daughter Mollie Lee-Ann (Carlos) Furey; a sister Shirley Johnson; grandchildren David (Qarishna) Ross, Austin (Brittney) Ross, Garrett Ross, Ross ( Emilea) Allison and Johanna Allison; great grandchildren Carter, Kameron and Emersyn Ross, Charlotte Allison and Ferris Ross.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother David Harple and brother-in-law Gary Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 10 until time of services at 12 Noon with Rev. K. Jean Teter officiating at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.

I knew Doyle through the Muskingum County Educational Sevice Center. We worked together on several curriculum projects. His leadership, helpfulness, & gentle sense of humor were always appreciated. He leaves a great legacy in his work and his family. May God comfort you during your time of loss.

Sue, I am totally shocked to read of Doyle's passing. He was such a friendly person to talk to as I walked around the lake. I will miss his smiling face. You have my deepest -deepest sympathy. May God bless and comfort you and your family.
