Edgar L. "Eddie" Bell

Philo - Edgar Lee "Eddie" Bell, 76 of Philo passed away surrounded by his loving family Monday, July 30, 2018 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born July 23, 1942 in Zanesville to the late Floyd E. Bell and Mary Wilson Bell Pletcher. Eddie worked for Shelly & Sands for 38 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a mine foreman for Sidwell Brothers, an equipment operator at Derby Oil and Gas and a special deputy for the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office. Eddie enjoyed logging in his spare time, was an avid coon hunter, fisherman, enjoyed playing euchre and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Wood Bell; three sons: Scott (Paula) Bell, Keith (Shannon) Bell and Shane (Diamond) Bell; four grandchildren: Lane, Sean, Maiah and Ryan Bell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Pletcher.

Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Thursday, August 2 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, August 3 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Al Lease officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
