Eugene H. "Gene" Holbert

ZANESVILLE: Eugene H. "Gene" Holbert, 68 of Zanesville, died 10:28 AM Monday, November 4, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan ICU following a brief illness.

He was born Tuesday, August 14, 1945 in Zanesville, the son of Henry J. Holbert and Julie Ann (Tabler) Holbert.

Gene worked in the construction industry and enjoyed hunting.

Gene is survived by one brother, Philip Holbert of Zanesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleo Holbert and Tony Holbert.

Per Gene's wishes no visitation or services will be held and a caring cremation will take place.

The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville is assisting the Holbert Family.
