Forrest Edward "Eddie" Sunkle, Sr.

ZANESVILLE: Forrest "Fast Eddie" Sunkle, 71, of Zanesville passed peacefully at 3:15 pm Monday, May 20, 2013 at Adams Lane Care Center under the capable hands of Hospice caregivers.

He was born on July 25, 1941 in Newark Ohio, a son of the late William Harold Sunkle and the late Alice Gertrude Wood. He is retired from Burnham Corporation. He served in the United States Navy, he was a member of the American Legion Post 29 and he loved Nascar racing.

He is survived by his beloved companion, his dog "ROXIE", a former spouse of 36 years Nancy Louise Sunkle; a daughter Gaila Ann Sunkle of Zanesville, a son Forrest Edward Sunkle, Jr. and daughter-in-law Sherry of Massillon, a daughter Shana Sue Clough and son-in-law CR of Trinway. Grandchildren Bowen and Zacharia Bednarczuk, Chancelor, Cameron, and Cassidy Sunkle, Hayden Bini, and Isaiah Clough. A brother Robert "Bob" Sunkle and sister-in-law Ruth of Mt. Vernon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 beginning at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 1616 Blue Ave., in Zanesville. Pastor Nancy Amos will officiate with final burial by the family out of town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter 1430 Newark Rd. or Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Ave. Condolences may be expressed at burrellfuneralservices.com. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.

God sent a special angel just for you Eddie, she folded her wings around you and took you to heaven, where you are at last in peace. You can sing all the songs in worship to our God. I knew you for over 50 yrs. In the past few months we were able to say our good bys, My heart is at ease, knowing you Rest in Peace my friend. My condolences to the family in this time of grief.
