John S. Kalb

McConnelsville - John S. Kalb, 67, of McConnelsville passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home. He was born May 27, 1953 in Zanesville to the late Robert Kalb and Carma Garrett Kalb. John was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union Of Operating Engineers Local #18. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was a former Bristol Township Trustee for many years. John was also a member of the Meigs Church Of Christ and the McConnelsville Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Teresa Hook Kalb, two daughters Accalia Kalb Goldsmith (Joseph) of Zanesville, Emmalee Kalb Willison (Robert) of Savannah, GA, a son Joshua Kalb of Zanesville, ten grandchildren and four step grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Barbara Kalb Harris (Erol) of Zanesville, Debbie Kalb Couch (David) of McConnelsville, and a brother David Kalb (Barbara) of McConnelsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Christopher M. Kalb. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A funeral service will be Friday March 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with David Couch officiating. John will be laid to rest in Meigs Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Psot #24 Honor Guard. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com
