John McWhorter Obituary
ZANESVILLE: John David "Muck" McWhorter, Jr., 48, of
Zanesville, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 following complications from a Heart Attack.
John was born in Zanesville on May 28, 1962 to John David and Dorothy Bagley McWhorter. John was formerly employed at Ballas Egg and was a friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deidre Garey McWhorter whom he married December 8, 1984 of the home; three sons, Joshua Adam (Katie) Paeltz of Worthington, John David McWhorter III of the home, and Jeffrey Michael McWhorter of the home; three brothers, Oscar McWhorter, Terry McWhorter, and Willie McWhorter; three sisters, Christine Kirk, Dorothy Tolbert, and Laura McWhorter all of Zanesville; a grandson, Kaleb Paeltz of Worthington; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date.

Was Shocked when I read the paper to see Mucks Obit. My first year of teaching was at ZHS in 1977. I had a student named John McWhorter. I remember a small boy with a raspy voice and a quick smile. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
