Dr. Porter was my orthopedist in 1985-1986 when I fractured my femur. He was kind, generous, and patient with a frightened and somewhat belligerent little girl of ten, who required traction, full body cast, and eventual surgery. I will always remember his gentle humor and brilliant smile. God bless your family during this time of sorrow.
