Lawrence Macenko Obituary
ZANESVILLE: Lawrence C. Macenko, 78, of Zanesville passed away at 3:30 am on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Summit acres nursing Home in Caldwell.
Lawrence was born November 4, 1935 in Belle Valley to the late Joseph and Anna Mizik Macenko. Lawrence was a heavy equipment operator for Kins's Mine and for the Longaberger Corp. He also served as assistant chief for the Belle Valley Fire Dept., a Noble County Deuty Sheriff, Village Marshall of Belle Valley and served in the National Guard. He attended the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley.
Lawrence is survived by his son, Larry (Carol) Macenko of White Cottage; two daughters: Melissa (Larney) Lashley of Pleasant City and Brenda Moore of Derwent; serveral step children; five grandchildren and serveral step grandchildren; one great grandson; and serveral step great grandchildren. Two brothers are David (Patty) Macenko of Zanesville and Joseph Macenko of Kentucky; two sisters: Barbara (Richard) Lorey of North Carolina and Becky (Stan) Wickham of Lancaster.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Macenko.
A private mass will be held with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Belle Valley. Arrangement are being handled by the Farus Funeral home of Cumberland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Corpus Christi Church in Belle Valley in lieu of flowers.
