Mary Shrider Obituary
Zanesville - Mary Katherine Shrider, 92, of Zanesville, died at 7:15 P.M. on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville. She was born June 27, 1925, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late John W. and Harriett B. Rogers Anderson. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. Katherine was a member of the Rose White Shrine #8, Supreme Caldron, Amaranth Zane Court #36, Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles, Eastern Star Olive Branch Chapter #251, and Senior Citizen Club #1.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville V. Shrider whom she married in 1955 and died July 25, 1990; and two brothers, William Barrell and Clarence R. Anderson.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Eastern Star services to be held at 5:45 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, with Pastor David Nuhfer officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Orville at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Animal Shelter Society, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
