Mary Elizabeth Whissel

ZANESVILLE: Mary Elizabeth Whissel, 98, of Zanesville, died at 11:45:00 AM Monday, April 06, 2015 at the Adams Lane Care Center.

She was born on September 4, 1916 in Sonora the daughter of Albert and Lulu (Livingood) Galliway. Mary loved her family and her community of Sonora, Ohio. She also enjoyed baking and cooking.

She is survived by seven children, Herbert Whissel, Robert (Marlene) Whissel, Evelyn (Paul) Compston, Howard Whissel, Gerald (Sharon) Whissel, Shirley Smith and Larry (Brenda) Whissel; ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Whissel; and a son, Albert Whissel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 9th at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will conclude at the St. Paul Cemetery.
