Michael Leonard Mirgon

ZANESVILLE: Michael Leonard Mirgon passed away Sunday July 24, 2016 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born November 28, 1947 in Zanesville, a son of the late Leo and LaVon Leonard Mirgon. He was retired from United States Postal Service. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Michael is survived by his wife Martha "Trudie" Kauffman Mirgon, three sons Brent (Julie) Mirgon, Craig Mirgon and Aaron Mirgon all of Zanesville; three brothers Leo (Barb) Mirgon of Arkansas, Jim (Mary) Mirgon and John Mirgon both of Zanesville; six grandchildren Seth, Alli, Drew, Jenna, Ashton and Austin; and faithful companion Momo.

Calling hours will be held 5-8 pm on Friday, July 29, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas, 144 N. Fifth Street with Father Peter Fegan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery with full military honors by George Selsam V.F.W. Post 1058.

Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or DaVita Dialysis, 3120 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Our memories of Mike & you will always be special having lunch at Der Dutchman. Mike had a determined spirit although not feeling well he enjoyed our company. He certainly was a gentleman.
