Rebecca Wentworth Obituary
She was born May 14, 1939 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathryn (Watson) Atkinson. Becky was previously employed at Essex Wire and most recently was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Board of Eastside Ministries, an election poll worker, and a volunteer for Zanesville City Schools. Becky took a great deal of pleasure attending family activities especially watching the sporting events her children and grandchildren participated. Also she was an avid coin collector and enjoyed bowling and camping.
Surviving Becky are her son: Ira (Amy) Wentworth of Gnadenhutten; daughter: Doris Sims of Zanesville; grandchildren: Sara Sims, Samuel Wentworth, Rachel Wentworth, Ariel Wentworth and Noah Wentworth; brothers: Richard Atkinson and Alan (Judy) Atkinson both of Zanesville; sisters: Faye Gannon of Zanesville, Linda (Nick) Woodall of Striker, OH and Peggy Sue (Tom) Copperas Cove, TX; and several nieces and nephews; special friends: Darren Wisecarver and John Tullius.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Gary Wentworth who died in 2003; and niece: Nicole Woodall.
Visitation for Becky will be 6:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010. Rev. Tom Klaserner will officiate with committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Becky's honor may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 128 South Seventh Street, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Dear Cousins in Ohio so sorry to hear of your loss of mother, grandmother and sister. Becky was proud of all of you. May you all have wonderful memories. I am glad I got to connect with her and Linda several years ago after loss years of family relationship. God Bless Cousin Arline.

Mr. Wentworth, we are holding you and your family up in prayer during this time of your mom's promotion to heaven. Your favorite student that just adores you is waiting to make sure you are ok. He says to tell you that now your mom is the angel over the school and can now help you with your job and you can now be happy.

To Becky's family: I'm saddened to learn that the ZHS class of '57 has lost another classmate. I have many good memories over many school years of both Gary and Becky, and my prayers are with their children and grandchildren on the loss of a loved one.

Our hearts go out to Ira,Doris and all the grandchildren. WE have many fond memories of Becky and Gary and the family. Going camping one time ,they had a tire going flat on their pop-up trailer and we tried to get Beckys attention to let them know .pointing to the tire and Bless her heart not knowing what we were trying to do all she did was WAVE to us. We laughed about that when they finally realized it.
