Ruth Eileen Long

CHANDLERSVILLE: Ruth Eileen (Rushing) Long, 71, of Chandlersville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:15 am at Genesis Good Samaitan Medical Center.

Ruth was born in South Zanesville on August 27, 1942 to the late Orville and Vergene (Wolfe) Rushing.

She is survived by her Loving husband of 56 years Joseph B. Long; her children Rose Mary (Jim) Wilson, Jena Archer, Kathy (Marc) Makin, Jackie Hannan; her grandchildren Sherry Gilkerson, Michael Wilson, Danielle Cavener, Billi St. Clair, Ray St. Clair, Janelle Gibson, Kyle Makin, Alicia Bria, Kris Hannan, Korey Hannan, Mandy Hannan and Diamond Johnson; her great grandchildren Brandon, Paige and Skyler Gilkerson, Joslyn, Alayna and Kaitlyn Wilson; Izabella and Evan Cavener; Ethan and Leah Ankrum; Isabella and Timothy St. Clair and Kolton Makin and her sisters Madeline Darr and Frances Wofter.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her brothers Paul, Clarence and her sisters Betty Rushing, Catherine Robins, Marjorie Tracy, and three infant children.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and lifetime servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church where she was called to lead the nursery for 28 years. Ruth was passionate for her family, gardening, and endless desire to help others.

Ruth will forever be remembered for her endless love and frequent laughter. Although she will be missed we will celebrate her life. Ruth brought happiness and joy to everyone she knew.

Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013 and 10 to 11 am Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Ruth will be laid to rest in Rosehill Cemetery. www.farusfh.com
