Willanna Swinehart Obituary
Zanesville - Willanna Faye Swinehart, 90, died peacefully on March 31st, 2018. She was born November 2nd, 1927 in Zanesville, OH to the late Orval and Faye (Williams) Leckrone. She graduated from Hopewell High School in 1945, attended Muskingum College and became a teacher at Hopewell Elementary. In 1949 she married James E. Swinehart. Together they had two boys, Timothy and Rick, and were blessed with four grandsons. "Billie" was very active with the United Methodist Women's organization while also providing loving daycare to many young children in the Zanesville community, each of whom were touched by her grace and strength of character. Her boys were her greatest source of pride and joy and she never missed an event that involved her four grandsons. The grace in which she lived her life was only surpassed by the passion and love she bestowed upon her family. She will be greatly missed by them all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy, and a brother, Edward.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, James; son Rick (Jennifer); daughter in law Pauline; grandson's Shad (Vanessa); Benjamin (Amanda); Jason (Amy); and Lucas; and her great-grandchildren Jackson and Ellie.
Friends and family may call from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 9, 2018 with Pastor Ron Griffin officiating. She will be laid to rest at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot.

So sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful lady who I always thought of as a teacher and friend. She was my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher and was a great teacher and role model. My thought and prayers go out to each of you. Sad to lose another member of the Hopewell family.
