Wilmer (Bill) Knowlton Jr.

NORWICH: Wilmer (Bill) Knowlton Jr., 78, of Norwich, died Wednesday morning, August 3, 2011, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1933, in Burgettstown, PA, a son of the late Wilmer B. and Dorothy Smith Knowlton Sr. He was an army veteran and served in Japan during the Korean War.

He co-founded along with his wife, Norma, Knowlton Industrial Steel Supply Inc. in 1985 in Norwich.

He is survived by daughters, Deborah (Craig) Ivanac and Tammy (Jeff) Mathews; sons, Bill (Denise) Knowlton III, Michael (Natalie) Knowlton, and Robert Knowlton; sister, Mary Westlake; eight grandchildren, Laura (Eddie) Ravak, Blaine Knowlton IV, Garrett White, Blaize (Christina) Knowlton, Mike (Stephanie)Knowlton Jr., Spencer Mathews, Bobby Knowlton, and Ross Mathews; three great grandchildren, Aliyah Knowlton, Braydon Knowlton, and Ava Knowlton; and a sister, Mary (Knowlton) Westlake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jeanne Knowlton, on August 6, 2004; two beautiful granddaughters and angels, Audrey Knowlton, daughter of Bob Knowlton and Jenna White, daughter of Deborah Ivanac.

Friends may call Friday, August 5, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 West Main Street, New Concord. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian George officiating. Burial will be in New Concord Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701 or to Christ Table, 28 S. Sixth Street, Zanesville, OH 43701.
