Francis Maloney Obituary

SENECA FALLS < Francis J. Maloney Jr., 72, of Middle Black Brook Road, Seneca Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva. Francis was born in Auburn on July 24, 1936, the son of the late Francis J. and Doris Bachman Maloney Sr. He was a life resident of the Seneca Falls area and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. He was a retired Mason from the Bricklayers Union No. 2 of Geneva. He was a member of St. Mary"s Church, Waterloo, the Kirk-Casey Post No. 366 American Legion, Seneca Falls, the Waterloo Memorial Post No. 6433 VFW, and a 55-year member of the Bricklayers Union No. 43 of Geneva. He was a former member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge No. 992. He is survived by his wife, Mary Worden Maloney, of Seneca Falls, whom he married on November 23, 2001; his sister, Mary (Gerald) Clement, of Surprise, Ariz.; one step-daughter, Kristine Chadwick, of Dorchester Center, Mass.; one step-son, Kyle (Maria) Chadwick, of Las Vegas, Nev.; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls. The Seneca Falls Honor Guard will conduct military honors 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the funeral home and at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary"s Church, Waterloo, where a Mass of Christian burial will be concelebrated by the Rev. James Fennessy and the Rev. Michael Conboy. Burial will follow in St. Patrick"s Cemetery, Aurora. If desired, contributions may be made to North Seneca Ambulance, Route 96, Waterloo, NY 13165.
