Ronnie Goss Obituary

Ronnie W. Goss Battle Creek Ronnie Wayne Goss, 58, of Battle Creek, died October 31, 2008 at Battle Creek Health System. He was born September 20, 1950, the son of George and Hazel (Thurman) Goss in Rockwood, Tennessee. Ronnie graduated from high school in Spring City, Tennessee and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Mann Filters, Metzger Saw Mill and Russell's Country Store. He married Sarah Tyler on April 7, 1979. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Goss of Battle Creek; daughters, Kelly Clark of Rockwood, Tennessee, Ashleigh Goss of Battle Creek; sons, Ronnie W. Goss II and Randall W. Goss, both of Battle Creek; grandsons, Joey and Thackery; father, George Goss of Spring City, Tennessee; and brother, Johnny Goss of Spring City, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother. Ronnie loved to be outdoors and fishhe "viewed fishing as going to church." He also enjoyed his dogs, camping and watching old western movies on television. He liked bluegrass music and rock 'n' roll. Ronnie loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and when he was younger he enjoyed racing stock cars. A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Seventh-day Adventist Tabernacle Seminar Room, 264 W. Michigan Ave., Battle Creek.
