I feel so terrible that I just found out about this a few days ago, and I still can't believe it. Chris graduated a year ahead of me in school, but I remember he was active in school sports, as I was a cheerleader at Springfield; and I graduated with Nick, and I have fond memories of being good friends with his sister, Shannon. Bert, Karen and family of Chris,
We are so sorry for the loss of Chris.
We were so devistated knowing how you must feel. But, in looking back at the times we were with the family camping fishing and hunting. When the boys went tubing down the Pine. Charlie especially remembers the good time they had at deer camp when they sat up talking and listening to Bert snore. What fun they had laughing together. And I can remember his great smile and little chuckle he always had. And his willingness to always help when needed. May the Lord be with you all at this time of your mourning. 'Til we meet again.

My thoughts lead me back to our school days and remembering how he could always make me smile or get a laugh out of me even if I was having a down day. Bert,Pat,Karen and family, Iwas traveling the highway that sad day and heard of the accident on the radio. Somthing sank inside me as I had a bad feeling of loss. It was later the next day I learned who was envolved. The suddeness of ill fate leaves us all feeling so vulnerable, are mortallity becomes very clear.
Know that God himself understands your sorrow, he too felt the loss at the death of his son Jesus. Know also because of that love for man his son willing sacrificed himself for all of us and lives again.
Often people will say , why did God take my son? Why did he let this happen ? Know that God has given us free will to live out our lives as we see fit. Yet he will interseed in it by our asking. God is our creator, he knows our hearts and is waiting for us to ask him into our lives. Know that all things work toward good to those who will believe and trust in him. By asking him in he can change that mortal life to one that is everlasting.
I truly treasure those growing up days with Chris. I remember most his beautiful smile, it just simply made you smile too.He was always so respectfull of me, and I enjoyed seeing him in the fields when our paths would cross hunting.His laugh made me laugh. His eyes always sparkled. Thank the good Lord for blessing you with a son of that nature, and thank him for the time he was given here.

I am so very saddened by this news. Chris and I reaffirmed our life long friendship last year Thanksgiving. I will never forget his departing bear hug. I will always remember how reassuring it was to know he was on the same ball field leading and having your back. I will always remember his willingness to have a laugh. Our hearts ache for your loss and at a time like this words are so inadequate.
We were so fortunate to see Chris and meet Kristin at the Halloween party at Heritage. Chris looked so good and so happy and now we cannot believe he is gone.

When you lose someone so special and so close to you, it is unbearable, I know. I will be praying for all of you to get through this the best you can. There is no way saying "I'm sorry for your loss" is enough. I feel for you all and what you will endure for the rest of your lives. Thats why I said in my message less than 3 months ago, I will never take anything or anyone for granted anymore, and I will tell those that are in my life how much I love them and appreciate them everyday.
